At this point in mid animation we had the good fortune of being able to use Josh, an actor and another of Aubry’s friends, to help us flesh out the character as a live acting reference.
This really helped us pin down the character as sort of a goofy little robot and allowed us to define just how he would act. Be the rover! This step is absolutely necessary in character animation.
